Design & Construction

Individual Cavities

Each pop molds in its own cavity, so one piece can be removed without disturbing the others. This is different from connected tray designs, where removing one item may affect the surrounding molds. The individual format also makes it easier to use different flavors or colors in the same batch.

Dual-Seal Lid

The press-fit lid works with the silicone material's natural elasticity to form a seal. This helps keep liquid inside the mold and reduces the transfer of refrigerator odors. Most ice pop molds with simple flat lids do not provide this level of sealing.

Tapered Release Design

The cavity walls are tapered, and the silicone is flexible enough to push the frozen pop out from the bottom. No hot water or excessive force is needed. This design also helps children remove pops with minimal adult help.

Stick Holder

The lid has a center hole that holds the stick in a straight, centered position while the liquid freezes. The stick does not tilt or sink during the freezing process.

Color Coding

The 8 rainbow colors can serve as a visual system for different flavors, making it easier to identify what is inside each mold without labeling.

Material & Compliance

The mold is made from food-grade platinum-cured silicone, which is BPA-free and phthalate-free. The material is non-porous and does not absorb food odors or colors.

Compliance documentation covers FDA food-contact requirements, LFGB, REACH SVHC, and RoHS. Color migration testing is available for pigmented versions. The pigments are mixed into the silicone before curing, so the color is integrated into the material rather than applied as a surface coating.

Production Process & Quality Control

INEEDS follows a six-step production sequence for each batch of reusable popsicle molds. Each step includes a quality check.

• Incoming inspection: Raw silicone is tested on arrival for hardness, tensile strength, and residues.
• Compounding: Food-grade pigments are blended in-house, with batch-to-batch color consistency.
• Vulcanization: A 300-ton vacuum press forms the mold with precision within 0.5 mm.
• Deflashing: Excess material is trimmed, leaving clean edges and a smooth surface.
• Secondary curing: A post-curing step reduces volatiles and helps achieve a low-odor product.
• Final inspection: AQL sampling is performed, and test reports are prepared before shipment.
