Ice cubes used to be an afterthought — clear or cloudy, square or round, nobody really cared. Then diamond-cut ice showed up in craft cocktail bars, and suddenly ice became part of the experience. We took that idea and ran with it. The result: a custom silicone ice tray that makes diamond ice and popsicles, in one mold.
It Started With a Simple Question
A European client came to us with a sketch — a gem-cut cavity that would turn ordinary ice into something worth posting on Instagram. They wanted it for their home bar line, but they also wanted it to work for families. Not two separate products, mind you. One mold. Both jobs.
That's the brief we got. We built the mold.
What the Diamond Cut Actually Does
Those geometric facets aren't just for looks. A multi-faceted diamond ice cube melts slower than a standard cube because less surface area touches the liquid at once. That means your whiskey stays cold longer without getting watered down too fast. Plain and simple.
And when light hits the ice — whether it's in a crystal tumbler or a simple rocks glass — the facets refract. It just looks better. Cocktail bars charge a premium for diamond ice. Now you can make it at home.
The center hole does double duty — fill it with water and freeze for diamond ice, or drop in a popsicle stick and make a kid-friendly treat the same afternoon. One mold, two scenes, zero extra gear.
Two Sizes, One Production Line
The client asked for two sizes from the same design language. The 4-cavity large tray makes big diamond rocks for spirits and cocktails. The 2-cavity compact size is perfect for kids' popsicles, small treats, or portion-controlled dessert molds. Same Pantone palette across both — yellow, sky blue, neon green, matte black, frosted white. The client picked every color. We mixed every batch.
Built Like Everything Else We Make
Food-grade platinum-cured silicone. No peroxide, no odor, no BPéA, no nonsense. FDA 21 CFR 177.2600, LFGB, REACH SVHC — all the certifications European and American buyers expect, plus a Declaration of Conformity for EU clients. Dishwasher safe up to 200°C. Pop it in the freezer, pop it in the dishwasher, end of story.
The flexible silicone means you don't fight the mold to get the ice out. Push from the bottom, the diamond pops out whole. No cracking, no breaking, no waiting under running water. That's the platinum-cured difference — it stays flexible after 1,000+ freeze cycles.
Why This Is Not a Catalog Product
Everything about this tray — the diamond cut, the hybrid popsicle hole, the color palette, the two-size lineup — came from the client. They own the design. We built the mold in our own workshop, ran the first samples in days, and took it to mass production without outsourcing a single step. Compression molding, color matching, trimming, laser engraving on the base if the client wants a logo, full inspection — all under one roof.
That's how custom silicone kitchenware should work. You bring the idea. We make it real.
